Breathless

Even if we are at the beginning of fall, the weather is perfect during these days, always sunny and hot. That's make me able to still wear t-shirts and flats, always paired with a pair of skinny jeans. I resumed this old A.P.C logo t-shirt taking inspiration from Jane Seaberg from the movie Breathless that I have seen some nights ago. It's always a classic.

Light blue

Today I have spent all the afternoon at Valentino Park to enjoy a beautiful sunny day. My favorite place in the park is the one near Borgo Medievale, that is a fairly faithful reproduction of typical late Medieval village with streets, church, houses and square realized by the architect D'Andrade for the International Exhibition that took place in Turin in 1884. As you can see my outfit is simple, relaxed and subtle: indeed the best term to describe my style is casual. I hate feeling overdressed or wear outfits that are too perfect or polished. My aim is to look effortless but at the same time chic, and a shirt with jeans and Dicker boots is what works better for me.

Never stop learning

My holidays are over and I am back in Turin, ready for my last year at university to start, full of new experiences and studies. When summer ends I usually want to change, I want to develop and improve myself, learning something new. It's time to get structured and realistic after months of floating around. I think September is like the promise of a new start, and that's why I really love it. Just arrived in Turin I went out to do some errands and then I spent the rest of the day at home, in the company of “Young and Beautiful” from Fitzgerald and a cup of cappuccino.

Montepulciano

I am still here in Tuscany and precisely, today I was in Montepulciano, one of the most charming medieval walled hill town in southern Tuscany, near Siena in Vino Nobile wine region. The town was founded in the 4th century BC and it's famous for its remarkable medieval grandeur and architecture of Renaissance and Baroque design as well. I was wearing one of my usual summer uniform: a basic t-shirt and my favorite skirt from Isabel Marant. I love the print and the knot detail.

Pienza

I'm spending my last days of holiday in Tuscany, at my parents house in the country near Florence. Yesterday I was in Pienza, a little town in Val d'Orcia that was conceived as an ideal town in its balance and proportions. Enea Silvio Piccolomini, better know as Pope Pio II, had his native village of Corsignano rebuilt to embody in the urban form the humanistic idea of the architect Leon Battista Alberti; the work was supervised by Bernardo Rossellino. The focal point of Pienza is the trapezoidal main square which is defined by four buildings: the Duomo, Palazzo Piccolomini, Palazzo Comunale and Palazzo Vescovile. Palazzo Piccolomini is one of the most beautiful building of Renaissance, enhanced by an interior courtyard and an italian garden on the south side, looking out over Val d'Orcia to Monte Amiata in the distance. It was a really hot day, perfect to wear a fresh printed mini dress from and wedge espadrillas. This dress is perfect for day-to-day wear and just my cup of tea. The design is so understated and verging on minimalistic, but the beautiful print adds an extra element to the simplicity. I’m such a sucker for the cut and the way the textile drapes on the model. And most importantly, this kind of style matches my taste.
