Come around me

I’m spending my Christmas holidays at my parents house to pass some quality times with them, recharge my batteries and also study a little bit. During these days I always wear in a casual way with my favorite winter basic garments that in this case consist in an oversize coat, jeans, cashmere sweater and Dicker boots. As you can see I always try to keep my outfits as simple and minimal as possible and also my colour palette is really basic. My neutrals are black, grey, navy blue and white, and most of my clothes are bought in this colors. Regarding style, I have just one rule: the simpler the better..

Take me to the moonlight

Today I was in Pisa to visit Tulouse Lautrec exhibition at Palazzo Blu. It’s about the lights and shadows of Montmartre, seen through a series of wacky and often grotesque characters, that the artist paints through posters, lithographs, drawings and paintings. Through its production Lautrec succeeded, more than anyone else, to describe and characterize a city, the colors of a generation and, more generally, the real lifestyle of the late nineteenth century Paris. Paris of the Moulin Rouge, Montmartre and 'brothels'. His art is confined humanity, it shares the joys and anxieties, weaknesses and excesses in a universe populated by bizarre and colorful characters, portrayed with intensity and fury. I really enjoyed the exhibition especially because I appreciate the Belle Epoque decadence and dark side that I have studied throw many books. I wore my favorite color combination: navy blue and black with Acne boots that are still my favorite ones for winter days.

Keep your head up

I am the kind of girl who wakes up early. Even if I have nothing to do. I'm actually a very productive person early in the morning and in the late afternoon and the truth is I love mornings. Waking up too late equals to wasting time for me. There's so much stuff you can do in a couple of hours. This also includes Sundays such as the last one. I woke up around eight and after have drunk a cup of cappuccino I started to study for some hours. At lunch time I met a friend at “la Menagere” and then we went to take a stroll around the streets of Santo Spirito. It wasn’t really cold so I was able to wear a mini cashmere dress paired with suede over the knee boots, making it simple but also edgy and easy to wear from day to night.

Don't let me down

After two months of travelling around I am finally in Florence at my new house ready to start this new chapter of my life. This morning I went for a walk around Piazza Santissima Annunziata which is dominated by Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, one of the most important sacred building in the city. The square is porticoed on three sides, and with two twin buildings on the fourth , which frame the view of Brunelleschi's dome through straight via dei Servi. At the center of the square there is the equestrian statue of Ferdinand I de 'Medici by Giambologna and Pietro Tacca, while the most backward, in a symmetrical position, there are located the two fountains of sea monsters, a masterpiece of Tacca and Mannerist sculpture in general. It was really cold so I was able to wear my fur coat with jeans and a cosy black jumper.
