La dernière minute

During the few days I have been in Paris, between the historical archives and the libraries, I have found the time to go to Musée Rodin. It's in Paris’s chic seventh arrondissement, hard by the beautiful Les Invalides with its gold topped dome and a short stroll from the Eifel Tower: both buildings are visible from the museum’s garden. And it is the three hectare garden that contributes so much to making the Musée Rodin such an enchanting place: the garden is beautiful in itself but made more so by the many Rodin sculptures placed there, including two of his most famous pieces: ‘The Thinker’ and the monumental six meter high doors ‘The Gates of Hell’. Inside the Hôtel Brion are galleries filled with: sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics, and photographs. I really enjoyed the visit and the stroll in the garden despite the cold: thank to my Marant coat I wasn't freezing.
