Saint Sulpice

Today I've spend my all time in the area around Place Saint Sulpice, which is my favorite. The church, know as ''The Cathedral of Rive Gauche" is one of the largest church in Paris. The facade is austere for a Baroque edifice and has a slightly lopsided appearance, as the south tower was never finished. In the square in front of the church the fountain by Visconti bears sculptures of four bishop of Louis XIV era. But it' the interior that I appreciate most, with Delacroix frescoes and Servadoni Rococo chapelle. After seeing the church I went around the  small cobbled streets with typical patisseries and restaurants: a stop at Pierre Herme was obligatory. I wore something very classic and simple, such as a breton top with black jeans and a trench coat, tres parisienne!

Chanel flats

The Chanel bicolor flats are a classic and a truly essential of my wardrobe. I have bought my first pair six years ago during one of my usual trip to Paris and since that moment I have worn them a lot of times for every kind of occasions: from everyday life to formal events. Now they are completely destroyed, so this morning while I was walking along rue Cambon, I have decided to replace them with a new pair. They are the epitome of chic and can give the sort of “je ne sais quoi” touch to every kind of outfits.

Butte Chaumont

I am having a lot of fun in these months here in Paris and every day I see something new. On Wednesday I went to the Butte Chaumont, a public garden in the 19eme arrondissement realized by Jean-Charles Alphand. The most beautiful part of the garden is the Sibilla's temple, center of a mystic pentagon, where you see all the city. I spent the afternoon set in front of the lake reading a book, having relax and admiring the beautiful landscape around me. Here is what I have been wearing for an entire week, with a fews variations. Truth to be told, I am such a creature of habit. Once I get absorbed by a new style formula, I neglected to wear anything else, and this is the perfect one for me at the moment. I know that this outfit has nothing innovative or extraordinary, and according to some people it could be boring but I prefer dress simple, with basics and  classics good quality items, that can last for many years.

La flaneuse

The "fleneuse" is a term created by Charles Baudelaire to describe a person who walk around the streets feeling emotions by observing the landscape around and that's the best way to describe my strolls here in Paris. For the most part of the time I just walk around the streets without a specific destination observing all the things around me and feeling amazed. Yesterday I have started walking from the Alexandre bridge and I've arrived to Musée d'Orsay, one of my favorite museums here in Paris, mostly because of all the impressionists, post-impressionists and Art Nouveau sections. I also got the chance to see a Bonard exhibition that is taking place in the museum in this month and that was really interesting. In the afternoon I have continued my walk along the quai d'Orsay until Sheakspere and Company bookshop where I bought some books. It has been a beautiful sunny day and I really enjoyed my stroll along the Senna.
